"What i like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce."

—Karl Lagerfeld

Why hire a birth photographer?

this is one of the most important days of your life

Bringing a baby into this world is an incredible experiences. Each birth tells its own story. Having a photographer helps to preserve every moment.

When to book?

Sooner than later! I will only accept 2 clients a month. And those due dates must be a minimum of 15 days apart. This allows me the highest chance of making it to your birth. If you know your due date, you can go ahead and contact me!

I think I'm in labor! Now what?

It's time to keep me in the loop!

Please feel free to provide me update on how your pregnancy is progressing. Especially as your due date nears. I recommend letting your birthing team know that you plan on hiring a photographer early on, and then reminding them as your due date approaches. Send me a text once you think you are in active labor! I'd rather get a false alarm text than have you hesitate and I miss the birth! Once you know for sure that you are staying, have someone contact me and I will be on my way!

What can I expect?

My approach to birth photography is to document the experience as it happens organically. This means, I will not be posing or using any props. I do not use flash photography. Many moms find a flash to be over stimulating and distracting, and I do not want to be a distraction.

I will be present and will help to provide a calm energy your space. I will likely be in the room the entire time of your labor, delivery, and for those first moments of bonding with your baby. Then I will step out to allow that precious alone time with your baby and return to capture images of the newborn exam, first diaper chance, etc.

You will receive 75-200 images. Typical turn around time is within 72 hours. This includes the rights to the photographs and access to a digital gallery for 1 year.
